Welcome
At Kelowna Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, my passion for helping patients overcome pelvic health issues is at the forefront of my practice. As a professional in the field, I provide the best possible care to my patients, in a compassionate and patient-centred manner. With my years of experience and advanced training in pelvic health physiotherapy, I am here to assist you with any issues you may be facing.
My Story
“Life is a journey, not a destination” Ralph Waldo Emerson.
My passion for pelvic health physiotherapy and pelvic health research began during the final year of my physiotherapy training at Queen's University in 2005. My training has included a long list of post-graduate clinical courses specific to pelvic and musculoskeletal health and dedicating time to pursue a Master’s degree and PhD with a focus on pelvic floor muscle activation and sensory awareness in women with stress urinary incontinence. In addition to dedicating most of my career to pelvic health, I was fortunate to have opportunities to work in the private and public sectors, facilitate chronic disease management programs, work with varsity-level athletes, and have been involved in many research projects.
My dream was always to open a pelvic health clinic and create a space where patients could come to and feel safe, understood, and comfortable. In 2017, I established Kingston Pelvic Health, Kingston’s first and only exclusive pelvic health clinic. The Kingston clinic continues to grow and thrive under its new owner, Kara Messenger, PT (one of the talented therapists I was fortunate to mentor). My family and I moved to Kelowna during the pandemic. Once we settled into our new community, I sought opportunities to establish a premiere pelvic health clinic in Kelowna. Kelowna Pelvic Health opened its doors on February 1, 2024.
My world revolves around my family and my children. We love the outdoors, especially mountain biking, hiking, skiing, golfing, and playing in the backyard. I feel blessed to live in this beautiful valley and look forward to making a difference one patient at a time.
