A: No, pelvic health physiotherapy is for anyone experiencing pelvic issues, including men, women, non-binary individuals, and even children.

Q: Why should I consult a physiotherapist during pregnancy?
A: Pelvic health physiotherapy during pregnancy can help with a range of issues, including pelvic pain, back pain, and incontinence. It can also help prepare for labor and delivery.

Q: Should I see a physiotherapist after pregnancy?
A: Yes, postpartum pelvic health physiotherapy can help with issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, perineal tearing, and pelvic organ prolapse.

Q: Is leaking normal?
A: No, urinary or fecal leakage is not normal and can often be improved with pelvic health physiotherapy.

Q: Do I have to have an internal exam during my appointment?
A: Not necessarily. We will only perform an internal exam if it is necessary to assess your pelvic muscles and tailor your treatment plan accordingly.
